In the year 1871 Georg Geil bought an imposing house close to the ancient border of the village Bechtheim which became the foundation of the winery. With the old traditions in mind today’s owners, father and son Karl and Johannes Geil, always try to bring new ideas to increase the quality of their wines. This continuous aim for best quality has shown many results. The famous wine guide Gault Millau has chosen the estate as "Discovery of the year 2004". This great award was supplemented in recent years by many top scores for the Geil's wines in national and international wine tastings and competitions.
This dry Riesling is a wonderful wine by the glass, but also a great companion to the Asian cuisine as well as seafood and elegant fish courses.
